FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents SharRon Matthews in SharRon Matthews: Girl Crush on Friday, May 26th, 2017, Named "Best Cabaret Performance of 2015" (BroadwayWorld), Sharron returns to NY after her exciting 54 Below debut in November of 2016, and her two SOLD out shows at Joe's Pub in 2010.

From Scotland to London, Toronto to New York and Vancouver to South Africa, SharRon Matthews' cutting edge cabarets have won her awards, five star reviews and a dedicated world wide following of fans from ages 18 to 95.

Sharron has been lauded not only for her cabaret work (named "Best of the Fest" two years running by the Scotsman Newspaper at the Edinburgh Fringe) but also for her jubilant celebration of her own shape and form. As a result she has been featured in numerous main stream publications across the globe in articles dedicated to fashion and style ("Let Size Zeros EAT CAKE - The Toronto Star). Sharron's articles written about self acceptance and body positivity, such as "Last Night Someone Called Me Fat..." have been read and share by tens of thousands on her social media platforms.

Matthews is not only a world class, much sought after cabaret artist, actress and singer but also a bad ass, body warrior and in collaboration with Canada's Lunch Box Theatre in Calgary, Sharron developed and will premiere the ground breaking, body and life celebrating cabaret, GIRL CRUSH, in April of 2017, for a three week run. GIRL CRUSH will have it's US premiere at 54 Below/Feinstein's in NY in May of 2017.

SharRon Matthews is perhaps best known around the world as "Joan the secretary" - serving up comedic gold and playing opposite Tina Fey in the film Mean Girls, but it's her internationally acclaimed cabarets that leave audiences begging for more. "She may be the most exciting thing to have happened in cabaret since Bette Midler at the Continental Baths" (NiteLife Exchange). In 2010, "SharRon Matthews Superstar: World Domination Tour" was named "#1 Cabaret in New York City" by NiteLife Exchange. In 2011, she received the Scotsman's "Best Of The Fest" for "Jesus Thinks I'm Funny". And in 2012, Sharron toured "SharRon Matthews GOLD" to Toronto, Scotland, London, New York City, and Cape Town, South Africa. On stage, Sharron has played a variety of leading roles including Lottie in Hal Prince's Showboat, Madame Thernardier in Les Miserables (opposite Colm Wilkinson and Sutton Foster), the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Babette in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, the Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz (Dora Award nomination), and Love Loss And What I Wore (alongside Andrea Martin). On the small screen in 2016, Sharron hosted, co-wrote and consulted on two TV pilots for Canada's Slice TV, called "MEME gURL", and she also starred for two seasons on Global TV's hit reality show, Canada Sings, which was nominated for the prestigious Realscreen Award. During 2016, Sharron embarked on a highly successful, sold out cabaret tour of the U.S. north west and ended the year on a large, soft seat theatre, headliner tour across her native Canada from Vancouver, BC to Saint John, New Brunswick and in November Sharron did a three camera shoot of her award winning touring show, "SharRon Matthews SUPERSTAR". In 2017 Sharron will perform a month long run of her new show, "Girl Crush" at Lunch Box Theatre in Calgary and after three years of development at Canada's prestigious Young People's Theatre, Sharron will finally debut her cabaret for kid's, "Unapologetically Me".
