Songs For Slutty Girls: A Song Cycle by Kailey Marshall will be presented Jan. 29th as part of The Rehearsal Room series at Don't Tell Mama.

Directed by Max Friedman, with musical direction by Madeline Smith, performers at the 10 PM concert include Marshall, Kasie Gasparini (Mamma Mia), Molly Hager (Heathers), Katy Rea and Will Roland (The Black Suits).

Songs for Slutty Girls is a peppy, poppy, and potent exploration of female sexuality in the 21st century. From walks of shame to heartfelt revelations, Songs for Slutty Girls encapsulates the varied sexual landscape of dating in New York City. This song cycle seeks to redefine the word "slut" through a pop/rock score that captures the anger and ecstasy of the modern liberated woman.

Described as the Lena Dunham of NYC musical theatre writers, Kailey Marshall's evocative and electric songs have been featured at 54 Below, Joe's Pub, the Highline Ballroom and more. Kailey Marshall recently won the Fresh Pens Contest in July 2014 with her song "Give It Up" from her musical Confirmed.

THE REHEARSAL ROOM is a recurring concert series that features up and coming writers and composers. Each show will present innovative work, NYC premiers and electric performances. THE REHEARSAL ROOM is produced by Ryan Scott Oliver and Nessie Nankivell, and is run in conjunction with Oliver and Lindsay Mendez's ACTOR THERAPY.

Don't Tell Mama is located at 343 West 46th Street. There is a $12 cover charge plus a two-beverage minimum, cash only. For more information, call (212) 757-0788 or visit DontTellMamaNYC.com.
