Ron Cohn is a man with many hats; attorney, director, teacher, manager, publicist, and producer with an impressive list of credits as an acting and performance coach as well. This time around, Ron will focus on another facet of his many talents: singing, in a new cabaret concert called "Forbidden Fruit" at a 2 PM matinee performance on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Arthur Newman Theatre in The Joslyn Center Theater in Palm Desert.

In "Forbidden Fruit", Ron will bring together a song-filled show with the humor of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Noel Coward, Jerome Kern, Rogers and Hart and more. Some are well-known standards but be prepared for some lesser-known and rare gems including a few that were considered a bit racy and risqué for their time but would pale by today's standards.

Local Musical Director Denis Moreen, who is quite active in local musical groups and choruses, will join Ron on the piano for this show. Showtime on Sunday, July 22nd is 2 PM with doors opening at 1 PM. Tickets are $10 cash at the box office and is being presented by Les Michaels as part of the acclaimed Life Is A Cabaret Sundays In Summer Series and The Joslyn Center with reservations available by calling 760-325-2731.

Arthur Newman Theatre at The Joslyn Center is located at 73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, Calif. Call 760-325-2731 for more information.
