Photo Flash: Trevor McQueen, Michael McElroy & More Perform at MENTOR MONDAYS at Birdland
For the past several months, Mentor Mondays has been a regular feature at Jim Caruso''s Cast Party, the 'extreme'' open mic that takes place at Birdland in New York City every Monday night.
Mentor Mondays, presented by Trevor McQueen, pairs up and coming composers with established artists to create a featured performance for the historic Birdland stage. It gives emerging young composers the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to collaborate with some of New York''s most talented musical theater performers.
This past week, the songwriting team Alison Holman and Caleb Collins presented "I Can Feel Your Heart" from the musical Freedom''s Song with a brilliant performance by Tony and Grammy nominee Michael McElroy.
