Photo Coverage: The Friars Club Presents DIVA SHOW STOPPERS!

Among the requirements of being a member in good standing of the Friars Club is that you commit to having a good time, laugh a lot, and have a pallet appreciative of good food & spirits. Once again Friar Randi Levine Miller produced and hosted a special evening.
The Diva's (plus one Divo) were spectacular, and the Frank Sinatra Room was packed solid with Friars having a great time. It also helps that if you have a last minute cancelation of one of your Diva's (Jullie Budd caught a cold), The Club has a well stocked inventory of talent on hand. As usual, you will not find some of the Friars humor in a Disney Movie, and on this night Friar Lisa Lampanelli proved she can be a "real special" Diva. Christiana Bianco brought along Barbra Streisand, Bernadette Peters, Celine Dion, and Julie Andrews. The King Family (Nicolas King and his grandmother Angela Bacari), KarenOberlin, Jill O'Hara, & Barbara Minkus rounded out the bill. Carolyn Amaradio a recent graduate of the Manhattan School of Music showed why that institution has produced some extraordinary opera/musical comedy stars. In true show biz tradition Randie discovered her working at Tony's Restaurant while she pursues her career. Executive Director Michael L. Gyure was correct in his opening remarks when he told the packed room they were in for an exceptional evening.
