Orfeh Returns To Feinstein's With LOVE AND OTHER COVERS 8/30
FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed "Best of New York" by New York Magazine and "an invaluable New York institution" by The New York Post, will continue its Spring/Summer 2010 season with the return of pop star and Tony-nominated actress, ORFEH on Monday, August 30. For her new show, "Love and Other Covers," Orfeh brings her original versions of old and new hits to Feinstein's for a night of musical surprises and special guests. The show takes place at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).
ORFEH - most familiar to theater audiences for her Tony nominated turn as Paulette, the unlucky-in-love Bostonian hairdresser who becomes best friends to Elle Woods in Legally Blonde: The Musical - made her Broadway debut in the fall of 1998 in the original company of Footloose. During the 1999 run of Saturday Night Fever as Tony Manero's jilted sidekick Annette, she caught the eye of Rosie O'Donnell, who immediately booked Orfeh on her popular talk show. She's also been seen on the Broadway stage in The Gershwins' Fascinating Rhythm and in highly-touted Actors' Fund of America benefit concerts of Dreamgirls and Hair. Her off-Broadway credits include Love, Janis and The Great American Trailer Park Musical.
In addition to her acting work, Orfeh continues to work on her music career which began with a record deal with EMI Records, headlining the early-1990s dance group Or-N-More including a top 40 album that swiftly went gold with its single climbing to 1 on the club music charts. Most recently Orfeh released her solo debut, What Do You Want From Me on Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records.
FEINSTEIN'S AT THE REGENCY will present ORFEH on Monday, August 30 at 8:30 PM. The show has a $40.00 cover with $60.00 premium seats and an additional $25 food and beverage minimum.
