Noted Guitarists Chip Wilson, Brian Camelio and Sean Harkness Team Up For Stage 72 Gig, 11/5

As a prelude to playing three shows in Vermont on November 9 and 10 that will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Vermont Pub & Brewery (the state's first Brewpub), New York-based guitarists Sean Harkness (right in photo) and Brian Camelio (center in photo) will be joined by New Orleanian Chip Wilson (left in photo) for a New York show on November 5 at Stage 72 at 9:30. The musicians will bring a program of original, New Orleans and classic covers with elements of jazz, folk and blues to New York and Burlington, with several Vermont musicians sitting in. For the Vermont shows later in the month, the trio will be joined by Vermont's own Lucas Adler, reuniting the group that played at VP & B at its start in 1988.

The four musicians were part of the original Style A's, founded in the late 1980s. Vocalist/songwriter/guitarist Chip Wilson was also well known in Vermont musical circles for his work as a guitarmaker both with Roger Borys and independently. Composer/guitarist Brian Camelio won the 1989 Mayor's Peace Prize in Burlington for his orchestral work "Return to Dawn". Sean Harkness, guitarist in popular Burlington band Zero Gravity, played electric bass, joined on drums by Lucas Adler (Kilimanjaro, Unknown Blues Band, Eight 02).

Chip Wilson moved to New Orleans in 1994, where has released nine CDs. His 2000 CD "A Jumpin' Somethin'" received an Offbeat "Best Of The Beat" Best Traditional Jazz CD with other nominees including Wynton Marsalis and Kermit Ruffins. He was nominated by Offbeat in 2012 as "Best Folk/Country Singer/Songwriter" and his Threadhead Records release with Wilson & Moore was named in the New Orleans Times-Picayune as a "Top 9 CD of 2010".

After living and performing in Japan, Brian Camelio moved to New York City and introduced the world to fan-funded music with ArtistShare. Six Grammys and 18 nominations later, they were also the first to get a Grammy for a CD that was not available in retail stores, internet only. Also an award winning producer, Brian has performed with many great jazz artists including a recent engagement with guitar legend Jim Hall at the Cotton Club, Tokyo.

Sean Harkness is a solo artist whose work appears on Windham Hill [Sony/RCA/BMG], Rinken Records in Japan, and ODEG Jazz in Toronto. He also performs with H2 with Canadian Trumpet virtuoso Mike Herriott, and is a first call guitarist and bassist in the New York City entertainment scene, recording and performing jazz, rock and cabaret gigs. He recently returned to Vermont for a series of reunion gigs with Zero Gravity.
