'Monday Nights, New Voices' Premieres Final Season 1/31

Join Composer and producer, Scott Alan, for the premiere of the eight and final season of 'Monday Nights, New Voices' January 31st, 2011 at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

In addition to celebrating some of today's brightest unheard talent and today's most exciting composers and lyricists, the series will see some of it's successful alumni host this final year.

Hosting the January 31st concert will be South Pacific's Marla Mindelle. Mindelle is an alumni of the series - appearing in the October 23rd, 2006 New Voices concert series.

The upcoming concert will celebrates the work of up-and-coming composer, Will Van Dyke. The composer will accompany each performer on selections from his songbook and offer stories about his songs. Paul Staroba is the evening's musical director.

Performers include Jason Gotay, Jonathan Shew, Chase Todd, Raena White and Nicole Weiss. Show time is 7 PM.

Will Van Dyke - A contemporary pop/rock composer, Will Van Dyke is a busy theatre musician and musical theatre composer. Van Dyke currently plays keyboards at The Addams Family on Broadway. Previously, he played the first national tour of Wicked, and was the associate music director of the tour of the most recent revival of Grease.

Josh Halloway (a lyric collaborator) and Van Dyke collaborated on Pages: A New Musical, as well as The Girls I've LIKE Liked (ArsNova), Where The Blue Grass Grows (Teatro LaTea) and The Grass Is Always Greener: A Song Cycle. Van Dyke also penned songs for Winnie The Pooh KIDS! Upcoming work includes Leonardo's Ring with Rick Elice, and collaborating with Matt Doyle on his forthcoming EP.
