Jessica Molaskey, actress and radio personality, will perform selections from her new PS Classics CD, "Sitting in Limbo," at the jazz club Birdland on November 13. She will be joined by her husband, celebrated jazz guitarist and vocalist John Pizzarelli, along with Martin Pizzarelli on bass, Larry Fuller on piano and Tony Tedesco on drums.

Birdland is located at 315 West 44th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues in Manhattan. Tickets are $30 & $40 each. For reservations, please call (212) 581-3080.

Jessica will return to Broadway later this season for the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Sunday In The Park With George. Molaskey and Pizzarelli co-host the nationally syndicated program "Radio Deluxe with John Pizzarelli," which is also available globally as a podcast at www.johnpizzarelli.com.

Since her debut recording Pentimento, and continuing with A Good Day, Make Believe and now Sitting in Limbo, Molaskey's musical wanderlust has encouraged her to explore various styles drawing from jazz, Broadway, standards and contemporary material.  Here her abundant virtuosity and eclectic musical vocabulary pairs the standards of Vincent Youmans and Harry Warren alongside more contemporary fare from Billy Joel, Joni Mitchell, Sting and Paul Simon, as well as two originals composed with her husband.

Winner of the 2007 Nightlife Award for Outstanding Female Vocalist, Molaskey is a veteran of a dozen Broadway shows, most recently A Man of No Importance at Lincoln Center.  Other Broadway credits include Parade, Dream, Tommy, Crazy for You, Les Miserables and City of Angels.  She has also appeared on the PS Classics' recordings of Windflowers: The Songs of Jerome Moross, Fine & Dandy and John Bucchino's It's Only Life. Reviewers have compared her singing to Peggy Lee, Chris Connor, k.d. lang, and even Chet Baker. She has sung in concert at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Montreal Jazz Festival and more.

The CD is currently available on PS Classics. The label, founded in 2000 by Tommy Krasker & Philip Chaffin, has made significant contributions to the heritage of American popular song through its critically acclaimed cast recordings (including the recent London revival of Sunday in the Park With George, as well as John Doyle's Broadway production of Company and Grammy-nominated albums of Assassins and Nine: The Musical); solo albums by Jessica Molaskey, Christine Andreas, Jason Danieley & Marin Mazzie, Rebecca Luker – plus its popular reissue of Charlotte Rae's Songs I Taught My Mother; songbook tributes to composers ranging from Billy Strayhorn to Maury Yeston to Jason Robert Brown; and recordings drawn from rare sound archives, including Sondheim Sings, Volumes I & II, and Charles Sings Strouse. PS Classics is distributed by Image Entertainment.
