FEINSTEIN’S AT LOEWS REGENCY will continue its Spring 2012 season with the debut of Broadway star couple Matt Cavenaugh and Jenny Powers. Their show “Loving You” showcases a dynamic mix of traditional standards, contemporary pop and classic musical theatre. The evening is directed by Joe Langworth and musical direction by Greg Jarrett, the show will run for one night only, tonight, June 18, at the Loews Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

Collectively, Matt Cavenaugh and Jenny Powers have starred in 11 Broadway and off-Broadway productions, including West Side Story and Grease. The husband and wife team have also played various famed New York City venues such as Joe's Pub, Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland Jazz Club, Avery Fisher Hall, Town Hall and New York City Center.

Matt Cavenaugh was last seen on Broadway as Tony in West Side Story (Outer Critics Circle, Drama League Nominations). Other Broadway credits include Grey Gardens; A Catered Affair; Urban Cowboy; Thoroughly Modern Millie (National Tour). Off-Broadway credits include Death Takes a Holiday (2012 Drama Desk Nomination), Grey Gardens. Matt has performed regionally at the La Jolla Playhouse, Los Angeles Reprise, The Old Globe, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Goodspeed Opera House, Dallas Theatre Center, Pittsburgh CLO, George Street Playhouse, and the Denver Center. Television audiences know Matt as Mark Solomon from “One Life to Live,” Adam Munson on “As the World Turns,” and from “Law & Order: CI.” Matt has twice collaborated with the New York Philharmonic on both “The Soldier's Tale” and “Sondheim: The Birthday Concert” (PBS). He can be heard on the original cast recordings of West Side Story, Grey Gardens, A Catered Affair and Death Takes a Holiday.

Jenny Powers performed on Broadway as Rizzo in Grease and Meg in Little Women. Other theatre highlights include Gina in Happiness (Lincoln Center); Veronica Franco in Dangerous Beauty (Pasadena Playhouse); Diana Devereaux in Of Thee I Sing (Encores!); Young Phyllis in Follies (Encores!); Sydney Sharp in It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman (DTC); Alice B. Toklas in Loving Repeating: A Musical of Gertude Stein (AboutFaceTheate / MCA); Isabella Andreini in The Glorious Ones (Pittsburgh Public); Bounce (Kennedy Center, Goodman); A Little Night Music (Chicago Shakespeare; Tommy (Berkshire Theatre Festival). Television credits include “Mercy,” “Law & Order: CI,” “Six Degrees,” “Nurse Jackie,” “All My Children.” Her films include Confessions of a Shopaholic and Chris Rock’s I Think I Love My Wife.

FEINSTEIN’S AT LOEWS REGENCY will present Matt Cavenaugh and Jenny Powers on Monday, June 18 at 8:00 PM. The show has a $25.00 cover with $40.00 premium seats available.
