Broadway star, Saycon Sengbloh, was just seen Dancing In The Streets at the Macy's 2013 Thanksgiving Day Parade with the cast of Broadway's soulful musical, Motown. Portraying Martha Reeves of Martha & The Vandellas has led to Sengbloh leading the cast in the singing of the show's theme song on Good Morning America, The 2013 Tony Awards, and the A Capitol Fourth: America's Independence Day Celebration.

While fans can catch her on stage in Motown 8 times a week, they only get 1 chance to see her Live at Drom tonight, December 16th, where she will be performing her upcoming single Be Here for the very first time.

Sengbloh's career has experienced several milestones, such as playing the female lead in the original Broadway production of Fela, being the 1st African American to perform as the standby for Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway, acting alongside Denzel Washington and Idris Elba in the film American Gangster, and working with Tyler Perry. Her theater credits also include starring roles on and off Broadway in Hurt Village, Aida, Rent, Hair, and The Color Purple. Now, she's prepared to get out of character, and share her own experiences with love through her own music.

Through the support of her fans, Sengbloh was able to use Indiegogo to fund her upcoming album. On December 16th, she celebrates the release of her debut single, Be Here, Live At Drom, located 85th Ave A (between 5th & 6th St.). Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:15pm. Additionally, Sengbloh was recently involved in the development workshop in Holler If You Hear Me alongside Chris Jackson from In The Heights, Chadwick Boseman, who starred as Jackie Robinson in 42, as well as film star and Tony Award winner, Adriane Lenox. This production brings to the stage the music and poetry of rapper Tupac Shakur.
