Liz Larsen to Host 'New Voices' Concert on May 26

Liz Larsen hosts May 26 NEW VOICES Concert.

The fourth season of the acclaimed 'Monday Nights, New Voices' series continues May 26th at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre. The series, produced by composer Scott Alan, showcases some of today's brightest 'New Voices' in New York.  The Memorial Day concert will be hosted by The Most Happy Fella's Liz Larson and will include performances by Elisabeth Cernadas, Evan Fagin, Jeremy Jordan, Max Quinlan and Morgan James.

The evenings guest composer/lyricist team will be Scott Burkell and Paul Loesel.  Loesel will accompany the New Voices on selection from his and Burkell's songbook

The evening will be musically directed by Barbara Anselmi, who will also accompany the New Voices.

Scott Burkell and Paul Loesel's songs have been performed at Carnegie Hall ("Michael Feinstein: Now and Then" Series), Lincoln Center ("American Songbook Series"), Joe's Pub, Symphony Space, and the Chicago Humanities Festival.  Their songs have been premiered by Kristin Chenoweth (Carnegie Hall), Marin MazzieJason Danieley, Susan Egan, and Liz Callaway.  Recordings of their work have  appeared on Lisa Richard's album VIRGIN TRACKS, as well as Marin Mazzie and  Jason Danieley's OPPOSITE YOU.  Their musical, SIX OF ONE, received a Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation grant, an ASCAP workshop, a CAP21 workshop,  and a production in the 2007 Philly Fringe Festival.  LOVE SONGS AND OTHER CRAP, their musical review, received a MAC Award nomination, and their new musical, ELLA MINNOW PEA will be produced at the University of Michigan this fall.
