Singer Stacy Sullivan and husband JefF Brown are throwing a very unusual event on April 6th at Metropolitan Room.

The musical evening, titled "Love & Marriage - Sullivan Family and Friends" is a pre-wedding celebration for their daughter, entertainer Savannah Brown, and her fiancé, Robert Peluso, which they're dedicating as a benefit for Joseph Macchia's award-winning fundraising series, Cabaret Cares. The event is open to the public, and seating is limited.

"The actual ceremony and reception are so small, with limited space," explains the mother of the bride, "that we thought we'd have a show-biz party and invite our friends who we can't fit at the wedding! Since there will be tons of family in town, we've recruited many of them to help us entertain, along with some surprise guests. Why not do some good, too? We're all supporters of the work of Cabaret Cares. It was a quick decision!" Some of the family members who will perform are KT Sullivan, matriarch Elizabeth Sullivan and Pat Sullivan.

The young couple met in London, when Savannah accompanied Stacy to her engagement at Crazy Coqs (which Savannah directed). They were invited to attend the show, " Sinatra-A Man and is Music" at The Palladium. They spotted each other there, and it was love at first sight.

Stacy Sullivan has hosted - or been the gorgeous and persuasive auctioneer - at several Cabaret Cares Benefits for Help Is on The Way Today, an eleven year old charity founded by the Metropolitan Room's Macchia (who just received the Ruth Kurtzman Benefit Series Award from the Manhattan Association of Cabarets for Cabaret Cares). The 501c3 non-profit supports children and youth living with HIV.

The celebration, which runs from from 9pm to 12Midnight on April 6th, has a $24 cover charge and $25 minimum per person. The entire cover charge is earmarked for Help Is On The Way Today.

Stacy Sullivan is known for her smoldering, intensely rendered concerts celebrating Peggy Lee, Marian McPartland, songwriter David Ackles and her family's history, from growing up in Oklahoma's Tornado Alley, to California and back. The family's talent has now been shared with the next generation. Savannah Brown is a director and part of the comedy duo, Too Blondes, with Chace O'Donnell (who just might perform at the benefit).
