Marty Thomas presents DIVA is a weekly show at Industry Bar in midtown Manhattan. Featuring a cast of Alexa Green (WICKED, COMPANY), Kelly King (Babyface, Michael Bolton) and Marissa Rosen (MY BIG GAY ITALIAN WEDDING), it is hosted and produced by Marty Thomas (XANADU, WICKED, THE SECRET GARDEN). DIVA celebrates fabulous female vocalists paying tribute to some of histories most over the top icons! The cast performs a brand new show every week with exciting new guests rotating.

Tonight, August 5, Katrina Rose Dideriksen (Jerry Springer:THE OPERA, HAIRSPRAY) will join the divas.

Katrina is a true southern girl, born and raised in Durham, North Carolina in a house full of music. With parents heavily involved in the community's Gilbert & Sullivan troop as well as church choir, Katrina was singing before she could speak. She studied at Durham School of the Arts and eventually New York University. Though unimpressed with New York's lack of sweet tea, she made waves at an open call for "Hairspray" and was shipped off to Toronto to learn the role of Tracy Turnblad. Katrina took her new role on the road as Tracy standby with the First National Tour of Hairspray, which prepared her for originating the role in Las Vegas's re-imagined production with heavy weights (no pun intended) Harvey Fierstein & Dick Latessa.

Since her first "big break" at that open call years ago, Katrina has been playing around New York City with her favorite band of misfits, The Joe Iconis Family, while working on several readings and workshops of new works. She also joined Harvey Keitel at Carnegie Hall in New York's first production of "Jerry Springer the Opera" as Shwantel to rave reviews.

Katrina saw one of her dreams come true when she played Mimi in "RENT" at Surflight Theatre on Long Beach opposite Justin Guarini and later in their season, Rizzo in "Grease" with Marc Summers. She rounded out her summer with a highly acclaimed production of "Legally Blonde" along side Sally Struthers.

Katrina can be heard on the album Things To Ruin: The Songs Of Joe Iconis. In coming weeks the show will feature performances from Lesli Margherita (MATILDA) 8/12, and Orfeh(SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, LEGALLY BLONDE) 8/19.
