Actress and songstress Julie Benko makes her cabaret debut at New York City's legendary Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street, Manhattan) on Wednesday, February 27th at 9:30 PM in her act Wandering Star: Tales of the Road.

Ms. Benko, who began touring nationally at the age of 19 with the rock-musical phenomenon Spring Awakening and soon after joined the touring company of Les Miserables, recounts her triumphs, failures, and misadventures on the road through personal anecdotes and songs from diverse musical styles ranging from jazz, pop, folk, and Broadway standards.

Wandering Star: Tales of the Road features guest performances by TV's Degrassi and Broadway's Spiderman star Jake Epstein and upcoming performer Allison Benko with Andrew Sotomayor on the piano.

Ms. Benko comes to Joe's Pub directly from the national tours Les Miserables (Cosette) and Spring Awakening (Ensemble and understudy to all female roles). Previous cabaret performances across the country include From Rogers to Heart directed by Sutton Foster at Joe's Pub, Season for Dreaming at Town in Washington D.C. and various BC/EFA benefit concerts.
