Singer/ actor Joshua Dixon follows his acclaimed cabaret debut with a return engagement of FLY UP! at The Duplex on Thursday, November 20th at 7:00PM and Thursday, December 18th at 7:00PM. Using an eclectic mix of songs from Broadway, The Great American Songbook and contemporary music, FLY UP! will give us a glimpse into Joshua's life so far - from his Mormon childhood to his college years to becoming a man in music and theater. Stephen Sondheim, Jimmy Webb, Andrew Lippa, Jerry Herman, Scott Evan Davis, Cole Porter, and Bastille, among others, provide a backdrop to his fascinating, funny and freeing tale of growing up and letting go.

Musical director, Steven Ray Watkins, and Bistro Award winning director, Gerry Geddes, joined forces with Joshua to make this a most enjoyable and memorable debut that already has the cabaret world and Broadway buzzing. So make sure you're there to be part of the celebration!

Joshua trained at Circle in the Square Theater School. His most recent theatre credits include Fred Meade in MR. CONFIDENTIAL which was part of the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival and Curly in Sierra Repertory Theater's production of OKLAHOMA. He thrilled cabaret audiences on both coasts with his performance in the revue, PICTURE PERFECT. Over the past couple of years he also had to opportunity to travel the world serving up puppet shows with Jim West Productions and performed in AN EVENING WITH COMPOSERS DAVIS, STITT, AND WALKER at the Hippodrome in London. He also made his recording debut on the CD, THE MUSIC OF SCOTT EVAN DAVIS.
