Joe Iconis Show Sold Out; Limited Tix to be Available

By:

"A Joe Iconis Mini-Musical Triple Feature" has sold out it's July 20th 8pm performance.  A limited number of tickets will be made available at the Ars Nova box office on the day of the show.

The show is "a night of three, count 'em, three 25-minute musicals, written by Mr. Joe Iconis for your viewing and listening pleasure.  Laughs, shocks, killer hooks, quirky characters, and Emotional Revelations of Gargantuan Magnitude will abound. Three tiny musicals exploring such topics as asking Jenny Vecharelli to the prom, how to prepare for a high-stakes dinner party, and the fantastical journey into the mind of a writer. Price of admission gets you three tiny musicals as well as the 'tween-show palate cleansers. Stand back, darlin'- this is passionate, bleeding-heart musical theater at it's scrappy best!," as described in press notes.

The performance will feature the talents of: Nick Blaemire, Katrina Rose Dideriksen, Lorinda Lisitza, Lauren Marcus, Morgan Pate, Lance Rubin, Jared Weiss, and Jason 'SweetTooth' Williams.  John Simpkins will direct.

Iconis is a graduate of the NYU/TISCH Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program. He is the proud recipient of a 2007 Kleban Award, a 2006 Jonathan Larson Award, a 2007 Backstage Bistro Award, and a 2006 Daryl Roth Award. His garage band rock musical The Black Suits (for which he wrote the music, lyrics, and co-wrote the book with Robert Maddock) will be seen next year at the MCC.  A concert of his tunes, 'Things To Ruin: the Songs of Joe Iconis,' has previously been seen at Ars Nova, NYMF, and Joe's Pub, where it will return on August 18th.
