Singer/Actress, Jennifer Roberts, celebrates the work of Broadway icon Sheldon Harnick in She Loves... Sheldon! with One More Show Only at The Laurie Beechman Theatre, Tuesday, February 5th at 7 PM. The show is directed by Lance Roberts, with music director/pianist, Tedd Firth, and Phil Palombi on bass.

She Loves... Sheldon! features popular favorites and little-known works. Harnick, now 94 years young, known especially for his collaborations with Jerry Bock, is a three-time Tony winner with hits such as Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me, The Rothschilds, Fiorello! and more to his credit. Roberts promises "several hidden gems" of rarely/if ever heard songs with arrangements by Firth in varied styles, "jazz-infused, a little blues and more."

Harnick supplied three of the songs himself, that were either never in print or out of print.

Jennifer, whose regional credits include "Sarah Brown" opposite Broadway leading man Tom Wopat in Guys and Dolls, is known for her heartfelt, entertaining and exhilarating shows that highlight her wide vocal range. She has appeared as "Guenevere" in Camelot, directed by Tod Booth, and in both the soprano and alto roles in several versions of The All Night Strut, directed by Fran Charnas.

Jennifer's CD debut, An Evening with Jennifer Roberts with Tedd Firth, Steve Doyle and Tom Hubbard, was released last March.

There is a $20 cover and $20 food/beverage minimum per person. RSVP @ https://web.ovationtix.com/ trs/pr/1003361. The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located in The West Bank Cafe, 407 West 42nd Street, NYC, Phone: 1-212-695-6909.

Review of the show: "Lyricist Sheldon Harnick, who will turn 92 on April 30, could hardly have asked for a more exuberant or heartfelt early birthday celebration than the one Jennifer Roberts threw for him in the form of her show at Don't Tell Mama, "Jennifer Roberts: She Loves...Sheldon!" Her upfront fan-girl enthusiasm for her favorite lyric writer, dating back to well before she played the leading role of Amalia in She Loves Me in college, combined with her diligent research into his lesser-known work and a powerful stage voice of great range, made for a mostly satisfying and certainly different sort of tribute show, and an overdue one to a deserving lyricist. Roberts was nimbly backed in this enterprise by pianist and musical director Tedd Firth and bassist Tom Hubbard, and directed by Lance Roberts." Robert Windeler, Bistro Awards, 2016.
