Ethan Riordan To Premiere Concert Of Original Song Cycle At The Green Room 42

Ethan Riordan will be performing his original song cycle, Flicker, on August 20th at 7 pm at The Green Room 42 in Yotel Times Square. The song cycle explores themes of connection and disconnection in its various forms--whether it be moving on or standing still. Performing with Ethan will be Kerstin Anderson (My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music), Micaela Diamond (The Cher Show) and Sophia Gennusa (Matilda the Musical, Dr. Zhivago). This show is being produced by John Mara, Jr.

Ethan is a graduate of the Drama Studio at Fiorello H. Laguardia High School for Music & Art and Performing Arts, also known as the "Fame" school. He studied at Interlochen School for the Arts and Berklee School of Music during summers in high school and was a Young Arts Foundation finalist in Musical Theatre and a Young Arts merit winner in Songwriting.

A rising sophomore at Yale University, Ethan is concentrating in music and history as well as studying in the Shen Curriculum for Musical Theater. The Shen Curriculum offers a range of courses examining American musical theater. The program is an initiative of The Shen Family Foundation, through The Ted & Mary Jo Shen Charitable Gift Fund.

Under the Shen Curriculum, Ethan has studied with Daniel Egan, Joshua Rosenblum, Scott Frankel, and Annette Jolles.

While Ethan began teaching himself to play piano at age 13, he has been singing and performing in musical theatre since the age of nine. Ethan was recently selected as one of the composers for the 2019 NYMF Student Leadership Program concert, Head and Heart, which was performed at Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre on August 3, 2019.

In 2017 and 2018 Ethan appeared on stage in the New York Musical Festival, and he has also appeared in over 30 school, community theater and professional productions.
