Ebersole, Block & Blackhurst Guest in A SWINGING BIRDLAND CHRISTMAS

Very special guests from the Broadway stage have been announced for A SWINGING BIRDLAND CHRISTMAS, which opens tonight for a week-long run of 6pm shows at the historic music room.

Christine Ebersole will appear tonight, December 20, Stephanie J. Block will appear on Tuesday, December 21 and Klea Blackhurst will appear on Wednesday, December 22.

The new holiday entertainment starring Birdland regulars Hilary Kole, Jim Caruso, pianist Billy Stritch and violinist Aaron Weinstein, will play a limited engagement of 6 performances, Monday, December 20 through Saturday, December 25, with shows at 6pm.

In the tradition of beloved seasonal specials, these four jazzy showstoppers will perform swinging arrangements of "Christmas Waltz," Kay Thompson's "Holiday Season," "Sleigh Ride," and "I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm" among other favorites. With Paul Gill on bass and Tony Tedesco on drums.
