Donald Corren to Continue Run at The Metropolitan Room This August
Broadway's Donald Corren continues his run at The Metropolitan Room on Thursday, August 4 @ 7:00, with his intimate evening of comedy and music, recounting a career that took him from playing piano in dive bars to leading roles on Broadway.
Best known for co-starring as Cosmé McMoon opposite Judy Kaye's Florence Foster Jenkins in Souvenir and replacing Harvey Fierstein in Torch Song Trilogy, Corren appeared in 8 seasons of NBC's LAW & ORDER, and currently plays the mysterious Dr. Kurian in Scfy's hit series, Z NATION.
Critics have described him as SUPERLATIVE (NY Daily News), EXQUISITE (Boston Globe), BRILLIANT (UPI), MESMERIZING (Dramalogue), and A BONA FIDE STAR (LA Daily News). Now, his cabaret performance mixes music with comedy, featuring songs by familiar songwriters such as Stephe Sondheim, Irving Berlin and Noel Coward, as well as original material composed with his musical director, four-time Emmy winning composer/conductor Glen Roven.
