Deb Mullins Brings BLUESVILLE to The Cabaret at the Columbia Club Tonight

After two prior sellout shows at The Cabaret, Deb Mullins is back again! Her new show, Bluesville features songs from the Delta to Broadway and Bessie Smith to Cassandra Wilson. Surrounded by some of Indianapolis' finest musicians, Deb's signature honesty, dedication and soulfulness will deliver "a night that brings listeners to toe-tappin', tears and thoughtfulness."

Debra Mullins is a vocalist and entertainer performing professionally over the past 30 years on stage, radio, television and in the recording studio. She began singing gospel at 3 years old with her musical family. Mullins has entertained from the southeast coast, to Detroit, Chicago and other regions. Her work in Indianapolis ranges from the music festival circuit and local clubs to theatre. She has been musical director for productions for The Phoenix Theatre, Theatre On The Square, and the Walker Theatre, including soundtracks created using computer technology. She led her R&B band, Deb Mullins Band, for over 15 years. Debra produced her first CD project of original songs, Killed in Cold Love, with the Deb Mullins Band in 2001 and has followed with three more CD projects: Love is a Many Splintered Thing, for her one-woman show in early 2009, Can't Live Without It! (2009) and All You Can Eat (2011). She was awarded a Master of Science Degree in Music Technology from the Indiana University School of Music and continues multimedia and website development. Currently, she teaches at IUPUI, The History of Rock in the 70s and 80s, Computers and Music and Live Performance.

The Cabaret is a professional, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The mission of The Cabaret is to elevate and promote the cabaret art form by presenting the finest in professional cabaret performances and developing the next generation of cabaret artists.
