Caissie Levy, Ariana DeBose, Molly Hager and More to Join Alexander Sage Oyen at Don't Tell Mama Next Week

Award-winning musical theater writer Alexander Sage Oyen brings two completely different sets of his original songs, stripped down to their barest bones, to Don't Tell Mama for what promise to be his most personal concerts to date. Audiences can expect to hear Oyen and a small group of special guests perform his best-loved songs as well as world premieres. Don't Tell Mama's associate director of programming, Max Friedman, will direct both evenings.

Andrew Kober (Les Miserables, Hair) joins the previously announced line-up for the Monday 8/25 performance, which includes Ariana DeBose (Pippin, Motown) and Caissie Levy (Les Miserables, Ghost).

Joining Oyen for the Thursday 8/28 performance will be Molly Hager (Heathers, Fat Camp), Alex Wyse (Showtime's "Masters of Sex," Lysistrata Jones), Bistro Award Winner Lois Sage, and country singer Taylor Faith.

Alexander Sage Oyen's musicals include Outlaws (book by James Presson, dir. Noah Himmelstein, presented at the 2014 ASCAP Workshop), A Night Like This (book, music, lyrics),Money$hot! (book by James Presson, 2014 Orlando Fringe Festival), and Moment by Moment (directed by Brandon Ivie- 54 Below. Production at Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand). He and collaborator James Presson were awarded the 2013-2014 Dramatist Guild Fellowship and their musical, Outlaws, was a 2014 NAMT Finalist and was the recipient of the 2014 ASCAP Workshop. He was named one of Playbill's "Contemporary Musical Theatre Writers You Should Know," and he was selected for the 2014 Johnny Mercer Songwriter's Project. His song cycle, Moment by Moment, is currently being recorded by the original cast. He is the proud owner of a dog named after a scandalous politician.
