Broadway Sessions Welcomes RENT's Tamika Sonja Lawrence & More Tonight
Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida, Footloose) is the host and creator of BROADWAY SESSIONS at THE MIDTOWN THEATRE at the HA! Comedy Club TC l4 " (163 West 46th Street / Between 6th & 7th Avenues) every Thursday night at 11:00pm. Broadway Sessions is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week, and features musical director/composer Will Van Dyke (Rent) on piano. In addition after the show we open the microphone up to anyone who wants to sing. Open mic goes from 12:00-2am.
This THURSDAY, September 1st, 2011 the weekly show (now in it's 3rd year) will welcome Tamika Sonja Lawrence, Margot Bingham and Joesph C. Townsend.
Tamika Sonja Lawrence graduated with a BFA in Musical Theater from the University of Arizona. She is currently featured as the Seasons of Love soloist/Mrs. Jeffrerson etc in the recently opened Off-Broadway revival of Rent.Margot Bingham is featured as Alexi/others in the recent Off-Broadway revival of Rent. She has released 2 albums as Margot B., "Two Thousand Mine" and "Live @ The Hazlett. For more info on Margot please visit www.margotb.com.
Joseph C Townsend is an NYC based actor/singer. Townsend will be featured as ‘Danny Who' in the national touring production of How the Grinch Stole Christmas this holiday season.

Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at The Midtown Theater, 163 west 46th street inside the HA! Comedy Club. Doors open at 10:40 pm with showtime at 11pm and musical theater open mic party goes til 2 am. There is NO cover charge. Donations will be collected for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.
