Baby Jane Dexter to Return to the Metropolitan Room with MORE RULES OF THE ROAD, 4/18 & 4/25

Back from a SRO concert in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico where she performed More Rules of the Road at the Angela Perlata Theater and Opera House, Baby Jane Dexter returns to Metropolitan Room for two performances of that hit show on Friday, April 18 and Friday April 25. Both shows at 7:00. Sharing the stage will be guest Musical Director Ian Herman. The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd Street (between 5th & 6th Avenues.) More Rules of the Road is the latest emotionally empowering and highly-charged show from this influential and beloved cabaret artist who never disappoints. This new 2013 show will include compelling songs by Irving Berlin, Cy Coleman and Carolyn Leigh and George Gershwin, as well as something by Mike Scott from the Waterboys and a song written by Randy Newman and introduced by Baby Jane. She also does a new blues written by Vivien Wolsk suggested by KT Sullivan, and songs by greats like Peggy Lee and Sonny Burke, Rufus Wainwright and Abbey Lincoln. As always in her shows, there will be her trademark unexpected twists and turns that laugh at life as well as leaving her audiences emotionally moved.
