Mario Frangoulis, the acclaimed international Crossover Tenor returns to the US for a limited set of engagements in New York, Montreal and Los Angeles from November 6-11, 2017.
A graduate of the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Julliard School of Music in NY, Mario emerged from Sir Cameron Mackintosh and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's world of musical theater playing roles such as Marius in Les Miserables and Raoul in Phantom of the Opera to be signed to Sony Classical by Peter Gelb (current head of the Metropolitan Opera in New York).
Of note are his deep collaborations with world-class producers on his major international albums - Sometimes I Dream (2002) with Oscar nominated Steve Wood, Beautiful Things (2012) with Grammy and Academy award nominated Stephan Moccio, and Tales of Christmas (2015) with 6x Grammy winner Jorge Calandrelli.
Recognized as a top 3 Classical Crossover Artist on Billboard where he held the #2 and #3 positions with Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban consistently, Frangoulis has distinguished himself as one of the most important artists in the genre. However, what distinguishes him, aside from his charismatic and powerful voice described as "the kind of tenor sound that brings down the house" (Journal Sentinal) is Mario's ability to sing in five languages and use his musical theatre and acting experience to create a truly intimate relationship with his audience.
