BROADWAY SESSIONS to Welcome Daisy Eagan & More This Week
BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. This Thursday night, June 9th, Broadway Sessions celebrates the Tony awards with Tony award winner Daisy Eagan, Heather Parcells, Olivia Phillip and more
-Daisy Eagan won a Tony award (at age 11) for her performance as Mary Lenox in The Secret Garden. She recently returned to her "garden" roots playing Martha in the acclaimed Secret Garden concert at Geffen Hall. Eagan has appeared in numerous television and film roles and has enjoyed runs of her 3 one woman shows throughout her career.
-Heather Parcels was recently feature in the short lived Tuck Everlasting. Parcells has also appeared on Broadway in Finding Neverland, A Chorus Line, Wonderland, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Soul Doctor.Olivia Phillip recently appeared on Broadway in Disaster!. A West End staple Phillip has appeared in Priscilla Queen of the Desert and more.
-The evening will also feature performances by Daniel Joseph Baker, Julia Rose Hines and Erin Christine Walsh-attendees are encouraged to visit www.westbankcafe.com to make a reservation-Audience members can expect Tony trivia, ballots and games throughout the night.
Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at The Laurie Beechman Theater inside The West Bank Café located at 407 west 42nd street (corner of 42nd street and 9th avenue). Reservations strongly recommended 212-695-6909. Doors open at 10pm for pre show open mic. Showtime at 11. $5 drink specials all night. $10 cover includes a donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.
