Audience Picks The Album At #ORIGINALMISCH: Four Night Stand

Audience members at concerts recorded live by a New York City singer-songwriter are choosing the songs for his album over four performances in Manhattan. "#OriginalMisch: Four Night Stand" are all songs by Mischa Kischkum, with four guest stars and Dan Busa. Every song is being recorded, in case it makes the cut.

Feedback on each song is captured in many ways, to determine its status:

• Patrons use their smartphones to rank several songs one to four stars.

• Song lists and souvenir pencils are on each table; written comments and rankings are collected.

• Audience reactions from each night are discussed and included.

Only the songs with the best ranking and feedback make it to the live album, to be released in 2020.

Each one-hour show contains fifteen minutes of unique material, and has a unique guest star, so there is a progressive discount to encourage patrons to return. The cover is reduced at each show until the fourth show is free plus a $10 cash rebate.

Kischkum was nominated as Best New York Solo Debut in 2019 by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC). He also completed the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop as a composer-lyricist, and wrote or co-wrote nine shows produced in Manhattan.

"#OriginalMisch: Four Night Stand" opens Saturday May 4 at 4pm with additional performances June 3, September 18, and October 13 at Don't Tell Mama.
