Applications Now Open For Re:act at The Other Palace
RE:act brings together four emerging writers, directors and a group of actors to respond to the story, themes and characters within each production at The Other Palace.
Written in 24 hours, and performed 24 hours later on the stage of The Other Palace Studio, these four new short musicals will then be followed by a conversation with an established theatre creative and an opportunity for both emerging and established artists to meet post-show to further discuss ideas.
Since its launch in 2015 RE:act has worked with a diverse group of over 150 emerging artists from across the UK and Europe. The evening is curated by Alastair Knights, who directed the sell-out 2014 production of Stephen Sondheim's Putting it Together, Matthew Keeler and Lauren McGee.
The first RE:act event at the newly launched The Other Palace will be on 22nd April 2017 at 8PM in reaction to The Whisper House.
Applications for emerging writers, playwrights, composers, lyricists, musical Theatre Partnerships and directors are now open at www.theotherpalace.co.uk. The deadline for applications is 3rd April 2017 at 6PM.
We welcome applications from all emerging creatives. Previous experience writing or directing Musical Theatre is not required.
This is a paid opportunity.
