Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room to Feature Rodgers, Akers, and Marcovicci in 2010

The Algonquin Hotel has announced their 2010 Oak Room schedule, which will include a wide variety of cabaret performances.  The new season will begin with Johnny Rodgers performing What A Wonderful World May 11-29. The show will feature his versions of "What A Wonderful World," "Huggin' and Chalkin," "Too Marvelous For Words" and his own songs "Home To Mendocino," "One More Moment" and "The Best Of You In Me."

June 1- 19, Karen Oberlin will celebrate composer-lyricist Frank Loesser with such classic tunes as "Heart & Soul," "If I Were A Bell," "Baby, It's Cold Outside," "I Believe in You" and "Spring Will Be A Little Late This Year."  Other scheduled performers include Karen Akers Sept. 14-Oct. 23, Jack Jones Oct. 26-Nov. 13, and Andrea Marcovicci Nov. 16-Dec. 30.

Dinner and performances are offered seasonally Tuesday through Saturday, by reservation only. Dinner seating begins at 6:30 p.m. with an 8:30 p.m. curtain time. There is a second performance on Friday and Saturday evenings at 11 p.m. Guests may enjoy an á la carte menu at 10 p.m., prior to the second show.  On Sundays, enjoy a Jazz Brunch with Barbara Carroll (seasonally) with seating beginning at 11:30 a.m. and show at 1 p.m.
