After a successful Metropolitan Room debut in May, A Mexican Affair returns to New York on Wednesday August 3rd and Thursday August 18th. Following the vibrant performance with a packed house in Little Rock, as part of Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre's 10th Anniversary Season, this Latin Jazz cabaret returns to refresh the summer in the Big Apple. Join us for two more nights of delicious music, candid stories, and spicy romance at The Metropolitan Room, a classy and intimate cabaret space located at 34 West 22nd St in Manhattan.

A Mexican Affair celebrates the relationship between Mexico and the United States and the beautiful cultural influence between both countries. The show features popular Jazz tunes written by Mexican and American composers, making the Great American Songbook sound as spicy as never before. The thrilling fusion of rhythms and musical influences invites you to take an adventure filled with passion, heartbreak, and a little dirty mambo!

Created and performed by Rafa Reyes, featuring songs by Frederick Loewe and Alan J. Lerner, Jimmy Kennedy and Michael Carr, Ben Weisman and Sid Wayne, Agustin Lara, Maria Grever, Pablo Beltran, Consuelo Velazquez, and others. New arrangements by Musical Director Felipe Fournier; Dan Martinez on bass, Hugo Moreno on trumpet, percussionist Guillermo Barron, and Joel Mateo on drums. Directed by Jeremy Williams.
