The Pacific Princess cruise ship that appeared in the iconic '70's sitcom THE LOVE BOAT has made its final voyage to Turkey, where it will be stripped down for parts. Below, watch a clip on the story from today's "Good Morning America.'

The iconic series ran on ABC for nine seasons, from 1977 to '86. Each week, passengers and crew alike, enjoyed romance and madcap, adventure, as they sailed from California to the Caribbean under the able supervision of Captain steuben.

The cast included Gavin MacLeod as Captain Merrill Stubing, Bernie Kopell as Dr. Adam "Doc" Bricker, Fred Grandy as Burl "Gopher" Smith, Ted Lange as Isaac Washington, Lauren Tewes as Julie McCoy.

For its first seven years, The Love Boat ranked among the top 20, and even at times the top 10, popular shows then currently on television. Aaron Spelling executive produced the series.
