Just before the Season 2 Premiere of HBO's LAST WEEK TONIGHT, host John Oliver appeared on Youtube Sunday night to share a "condescending, half-hearted" apology for the recent controversy over his #NotMyChristian hashtag, which was not intended to have a religious meaning but rather be a dig at the casting decisions for the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey movie.

To show his sincerity, Oliver shared his own audition for film which included the line, "I'm assuming this is all gonna end in butt stuff." Check it out below!

Oliver won the Breakout Award at the Aspen Comedy Festival in 2007 and went on to write and star in the Comedy Centralstand-up special "John Oliver: Terrifying Times," followed by the series "John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show," which he has hosted for four seasons. With longtime collaborator Andy Zaltzman, Oliver co-write
