According to The New York Times Artsbeat blog, legendary jazz singer Tony Bennett has plans to record an album with pop star Lady Gaga. The singer revealed the news yesterday while receiving a lifetime achievement award from the Amy Winehouse Foundation in New York.
Bennett shared that while the duo have not yet begun to record, they will be collaborating on what he describes as "a big swing album." "We have it all worked out on paper," he told The Associated Press.
This will not be the first time that the 86-year-old and the 'Born This Way' superstar have worked together. In 2011, they recorded a version of "The Lady Is a Tramp" for Bennett's "Duets II" album, which went on to win a Grammy award. Last October, Bennett returned to the recording studio to collaborate with some of the greatest Latin American singers on "Viva Duets."
