According to the Hollywood Reporter, TLC has obtained the rights to the upcoming documentary, Susan Boyle: AN UNLIKELY SUPERSTAR.  It will debut on Sunday, November 6th at 8:00 pm ET. The documentary will show Boyle's ascent from an unknown to an overnight sensation on Britain's Got Talent.

The one hour documentary was produced over the course of seven weeks and follows the singer as she is about to debut her third album.  It will show Boyle traveling around the world, in the recording studio, and returning home to her small local Scottish community.

Directed by Osca Humphreys and produced by Firecracker films, the documentary will  include interviews with Boyle's close friends and associates, including her mentor, The X Factor's Simon Cowell.

Boyle became known to the world when she competed on the 2009 season of Britain's Got Talent.  On that show, she sang  "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical, Les Miserables. The video of her performance went instantly viral and made her an overnight sensation. She has sold more than 14 million albums worldwide and she is the first artist to have two albums reach No. 1 on the UK and American album charts in a one year period.
