Steve Hackman Releases Solo Piano Album SACRED MATH
The focus track is titled I Know That She Can Hear Me, exploring the link between spirituality and improvisation.

Hackman has released a new album of original solo piano impromptus titled SACRED MATH, with focus track 'I Know That She Can Hear Me.'

On the making of SACRED MATH, Steve Hackman shares: 'The beginning of my musical journey is at seven years old, sitting down at the piano and just improvising...I believe that spirituality and creativity are two sides of the same coin. The improvisatory act, the creative act, is a spiritual one. It's where we are connecting with something that's bigger than ourselves.'
Earlier this month, Hackman shared 'So She Leapt, Unburdened, Into The Unknown' from SACRED MATH, alongside a beautifully shot music video of him performing the piece.
2026 has already seen an ambitious music release schedule from Hackman that showcases the many sides of his artistry: original music for orchestra fused with electronics, and reimaginings of some of the great music of today, including Taylor Swift, Jacob Collier, and Kendrick Lamar, with more new music to come soon.
He has collaborated with Jon Batiste, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Lizzo, RZA, Wyclef Jean, Steve Lacy, Doja Cat, Moses Sumney, and with Charlie Puth, arranging and conducting the National Anthem for Super Bowl LX.
Hackman's SYMPHONYFUSE catalog of sixteen barrier-shattering orchestral fusions synthesize the great works of classical music with the music of towering popular artists. These have led to performances of titles such as Brahms X Radiohead, Beethoven X Beyoncé, and Stravinsky X Kendrick Lamar with orchestras in LA, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Miami, and over 50 others throughout North America and Europe.

Steve Hackman studied conducting, composition and counterpoint at the Curtis Institute of Music, then went on to a fellowship at the American Academy of Conducting at the Aspen Music Festival — all the while teaching himself the craft of popular music as a songwriter, producer, arranger and recording artist: the two worlds he's been fusing ever since.
