In the fall of 2012, Hurricane Sandy devastated the Bungalow Bar and Grill, a once-booming Rockaway Beach, NY establishment. One year later, Spike TV's "Bar Rescue" takes a break from turning around struggling bars and heads to the Rockaways to give this deserving business another shot at success. This special episode premieres Sunday, October 27 at 10 PM, ET/PT.

The Bungalow Bar and Grill was opened by four Tubridy brothers (Terence, Dee, Sean, and Martin) and their childhood friend Ryan Murphy (who is also a New York Firefighter). This popular establishment served the Rockaways for years before Hurricane Sandy devastated the bar and left them with over $350,000 in damages. Despite the destruction to their own bar, the owners spent the days immediately following the hurricane helping their neighbors rebuild the community. They fed families, rescued pets, and helped people get back on their feet. During their community efforts, most of the equipment left in the bar was stolen. Renowned bar and nightlife expert Jon Taffer comes to the rescue just before the start of their busiest season, and races to finish the biggest bar rebuild in series history.
