The project follows Sean (played by Hayes), who is facing a difficult new boss at work while trying to be a good father to his recently-moved-in, 14-year-old daughter. It is produced by Universal TV and Hazy Mills with executive producers Fresco, Hayes and Todd Milliner.

Hayes will appear as a guest star in the coming season of NBC's SMASH and works as producer on Grimm, Hot In Cleveland, Soul Man and Hollywood Game Night. He is also a regular on NBC's Up All Night.

Hayes has appeared on Broadway in 2010's Promises, Promises revival, alongside Kristin Chenoweth, and the Encores! concert production of Damn Yankees in 2008.
