The film, which is written and produced by Renée, is a captivating musical fantasia that follows the story of a woman who, spurred on by the death of a long-estranged parent and a musical awakening she can't stop, must face her childhood fears and insecurities. The campaign is looking to raise $29,750, and with just two days left has hit $24,800. That means that the film has been green lit, but they still have almost $5,000 to go to make their goal.

According to the campaign's page, at its core, Reddy Records is a story about finding forgiveness and healing by taking back your power to choose.

Our main character is a young woman who must reconcile her confident, restrained exterior with her inner, deep seated insecurities caused by her father abandoning her as a child... in a record shop.

After 20 years without her father, she learns he has died and left her a list of jazz records. Why? She doesn't know, but all at once her longheld aversion to music is challenged by a musical awakening she can't stop. As New York City comes alive with music and presses down on our heroine from all sides, she decides to enter a record shop for the first time in 20 years and confront her feelings about her absent father.

When she connects deep and fast with a stranger who shares a similar family history, she discovers she might just have everything she needs to answer her deepest, burning questions...

How much do our circumstances affect who we become? How can we heal when our parents have hurt us? How do you forgive without an explanation or apology?

Additionally, Renée and her team are dedicated to diversity and inclusion, "both in front of and behind the camera. In entertainment, we've all seen the world through a very specific lens for a very long time. And that's fine, but what if we filled in all the missing blanks?"
