In a recent interview with RadarOnline.com, X FACTOR judge Nicole Scherzinger hinted that she may not be returning to the Fox talent competition next year when it returns for a second season.  Commented Scherzinger, “Next year for me, it’s about my music. This has been quite a learning experience, quite a journey for me. I didn’t expect to have been so emotional through the whole elimination process. I wanted to just mentor and empower artists.”

The singer shared that she plans to focus her energy on her music career next year, implying that the hectic work schedule she faced during season one of the show was the cause for the delay in her recent album release.  “The reason it hasn’t come out yet is because of The X Factor,” the singer said in referring to the album. “It’s been so time consuming. I work with these contestants six days a week. So I delayed the album, but I was able to perform one of my new singles last week.”

Scherzinger also revealed that being a judge on the show was emotionally draining for her, and that she prefers the role of an entertainer over a critic. Throughout the season, she frequently came into conflict with fellow judge Simon Cowell and was often visably shaken from the confrontations.  “The elimination process for me has been very difficult. I definitely took the cake this year [for crying] – I think I got 25 strong points on that!”

The singer recently filmed the upcoming movie 'Men in Black III" with Will Smith which will be released in theaters next year.
