Naomi Watts to Play 'Princess Diana' in CAUGHT IN FLIGHT

According to Digitalspy.com, actress Naomi Watts will portray British royal 'Princess Diana' in the upcoming biopic CAUGHT IN FLIGHT'.

The film will be produced by Ecosse Films and will follow the life of Diana during the last two years of her life as she transforms into a "major international campaigner and humanitarian". Commenting on her upcoming role, the academy-award nominated actress said, "It is such an honor to be able to play this iconic role - Princess Diana was loved across the world, and I look forward to rising to the challenge of playing her on screen."

Watts' big screen credits include Mulholland Drive, The Ring and J. Edgar. She will next be seen in German filmmaker Oliver Hirschbiegel's upcoming movie.

Producer Stephen Evans is also working on a Princess Di biopic which will star Charlize Theron, Carey Mulligan and Ewan McGregor in the role of the Princess's bodyguard, Ken Wharfe.
