NBC's BIGGEST LOSER Debut Up 10% in Viewers

NBC has won Tuesday in 18-49 with the #1 show of the night in 18-49, "The Voice" (3.9/10). For the first time in eight years, NBC has won each of the first four Tuesdays of the season in 18-49 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.

"The Biggest Loser" (2.2/7 in 18-49, 7.0 viewers overall from 8-9 p.m.) is up 10% in total viewers Versus last year's regular-slot premiere (7.003 million vs. 6.387 million from 8-10 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013) and also up Versus a special Sunday debut (7.003 million vs. 6.995 million from 9-11 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013). In adults 18-49, "Loser" is within 0.2 of that Monday regular-slot premiere's 2.4 and within 0.8 of the special Sunday debut. "Biggest Loser" is up half-hour to half-hour in every key ratings category, including gains of 20% in adults 18-49 (to a 2.4 from a 2.0), 11% in total viewers (7.4 million vs. 6.6 million) and 27% in adults 18-34 (1.9 vs. 1.5).

"Biggest Loser" is matching the 18-49 rating for the show's season finale on May 1, 2012 (2.2/7 in 18-49, 7.205 million viewers overall), which is "Loser's" most recent Tuesday telecast prior to last night.

In women 18-34, "The Biggest Loser" ranks #1 in The Hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, and in women 18-49 and 25-54, "Loser" ranks #2 among those nets.

"The Voice" (3.9/10 in 18-49, 12,7 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) is up 30% Versus last week's recap episode in 18-49 (3.9 vs. 3.0) and up 24% in total viewers (12.690 million vs. 10.199 million), while running within 13% of its prior Tuesday non-recap telecast in both 18-49 (4.5 from 8-10:01 on October 1) and total viewers (12.690 million vs. 14.539 million).

"The Voice" is #1 in the time period in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics and is the #1 show of the night in 18-49 and other key demos.

"Chicago Fire" (2.4/7 in 18-49, 8.2 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) is up week to week by 14% in 18-49 (2.4 vs. 2.1) and 11% in total viewers (8.249 million vs. 7.429 million). "Chicago Fire" is #1 in the 10 p.m. hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and other key demos.

"Chicago Fire" is up 50% Versus the show's year-ago fourth episode in 18-49 rating (1.6 on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012) and is up 47% in total viewers (8.249 million vs. 5.622 million)..

L+3: In "Live Plus Three Day" ratings last week, "Chicago Fire" added 47% or 0.99 of a point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 3.12 in L+3 from a 2.13 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 38% or 2.838 million persons (10.267 million vs. 7.429 million). These are the record L+3 lifts for "Chicago Fire" in both 18-49 and total viewers.

L+7: In "Live Plus Seven Day" ratings for premiere week, "Chicago Fire" added 40% or 1.07 rating points to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 3.74 in L+7 from a 2.67 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 40% or 3.521 million persons (12.420 million vs. 8.899 million).


In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.7/7 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.7/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/5 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.3/5 in metered-market households with an encore) tied CBS's original "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
