Kristen Wiig in Negotiations for Villain Role in WONDER WOMAN 2
According to Variety, Warner Bros. is currently courting comedy star Kristen Wiig to star as the villain Cheetah in the next installment of the wildly successful Wonder Woman franchise.
The report suggests that writer/director Patty Jenkins has had Wiig in mind for the role for some time and contacted her before departing on a location scouting trip for the film.
Insiders say that no official deal is in place yet, but negotiations have begun.
The first Wonder Woman film has taken in over $769.7 million worldwide so far, and marks the highest-grossing live-action film directed by a woman.
Kristen Wiig is a gifted comedic actor, best known for her roles on Saturday Night Live, and in the films, "Bridesmaids", "The Martian", and "Ghostbusters".
