Versatile Broadway and Hollywood star Jonathan Groff opens up about the importance of the gay community embracing his gay-themed HBO TV series LOOKING as well as the recent hit stage-to-screen adaptation of Larry Kramer's Tony Award-winning play The Normal Heart as part of a gay pride parade appearance this weekend.

Sharing his appreciation for the positive reception to both LOOKING and THE NORMAL HEART, Groff reveals, "It's been amazing."

Groff continues, "I mean, it's so great to see the gay community really rally and support gay projects."

Additionally, Groff says of the socially concious projects, "I feel really blessed to be a part of them and it's been amazing seeing the gay community coming together for them."

THE NORMAL HEART aired May 25 on HBO.

LOOKING is set to return with an expanded second season later this year according to recent reports.
