Jessica Biel Joins Cast of ALFRED HITCHCOCK AND THE MAKING OF PSYCHO

Deadline.com reports that Jessica Biel has signed on to star in Alfred Hitchcock AND THE MAKING OF PSYCHO. The actress joins previously announced cast members Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren and Scarlett Johansson. The film will be directed by Sacha Gervasi.

Biel will portray Vera Miles, the actress who played 'Lila Crane' in the 1960 classic horror film 'Psycho'. Anthony Hopkins will take on the role of famed director Hitchcock, Scarlett Johansson will play Janet Leigh and Helen Mirren will play Alma Reville. According to the report, actor James D'Arcy is currently in talks to take on the role of Anthony Perkins.

Biel is known for her television role as Mary Camden in the long-running family-drama series 7th Heaven. She has also appeared in several films, including Summer Catch, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Stealth, The Illusionist, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, and The A-Team, and the British movie Easy Virtue. The actress will next be seen on the big screen in the Sony Pictures remake 'Total Recall' co-starring Colin Farrell.
