According to The Hollywood Reporter, GLEE alum Darren Criss is developing a musical workplace comedy to be titled ROYALTIES for the FOX network.

The show will follow "the unseen, UNSUNG and unglamorous heroes behind the pop stars - the producers and songwriters whose job it is to produce hits. Sometimes it's sexy, but most of the time, it's just like every other workplace with office politics, clashing personalities and day-to-day minutiae. The comedy specifically centers on a publishing company, Royalty Music, and the one-hit wonder who returns to the fold in the hopes of making it big again."

Criss will develop the project alongside writers Allyn Rachel and Patrick Carlyle. While he will also serve as a co-executive producer, he is not expected to star in the series.

Best known for his role as Blaine Anderson in the FOX comedy GLEE, the talented singer, songwriter also received an Emmy nomination for outstanding original music and lyrics. He is currently reprising his Broadway role in the musical HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH in the Los Angeles production. He has also appeared on Broadway in HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS. His TV credits also include American Horror Story. Criss will next be seen on the big screen in the comedy film Girl Most Likely.
