Emma Watson Joins Cast of Upcoming Thriller REGRESSION

Bob and Harvey Weinstein announced today that Harry Potter franchise star Emma Watson is set to join the previously attached Ethan Hawke for Alejandro Amenábar's upcoming thriller Regression.
The film, also scripted by Amenabar, will be produced by his longtime partner Fernando Bovaira for his company MOD Entertainment along with Canadian producer Christina Piovesan. According to earlier reports, the film will follow a father (Hawke) who is convicted of sexually abusing his daughter. Having no memory of his crimes, he enlists the help of a psychologist and learns that he may be part of a nation-wide conspiracy. "I am passionate about Alejandro and his work and am so happy to be collaborating with him. I'm really excited by the challenge my character presents to me as an actress... I can't wait to begin," said Watson. "Emma is a beautiful, humane, sensitive and very talented woman, and I feel very fortunate to be working with her.
