ESPN Announces 2017 Major League Baseball Season Opener

The 2017 Major League Baseball season will open on ESPN platforms, Sunday, April 2, with multiple, national OPENING DAY telecasts. It was announced today that the New York Yankees will visit the Tampa Bay Rays and that the Arizona Diamondbacks will host the San Francisco Giants in a pair of divisional match-ups.
(Note: times are still to be determined and telecasts could be subject to local blackout). Also on April 2, ESPN will exclusively televise MLB Opening Night - a full national prime-time game.
