Disney/ABC Television Group Names Martin Keely EVP, Product and Technology

Martin Keely has been named executive vice president, product and technology for Disney|ABC Television Group, it was announced today by Bruce Rosenblum, president, Business Operations, to whom he will report. In this role, Mr. Keely will oversee all aspects of Disney|ABC's digital media strategy and products across non-linear and emerging platforms. He is charged with defining and executing plans to effectively monetize both new and existing short-form and long-form content and distribution across multiple screens and platforms.

In making the announcement, Mr. Rosenblum said, "Martin has a proven track record of building and operating profitable digital businesses, directing creative and technical teams and strategically growing partnerships. His mission at Disney|ABC will be to more precisely define and execute plans to monetize both new and existing content, as well as to harness the power of our strong portfolio into a more unified and holistic consumer experience."

Mr. Keely added, "I am excited to have the opportunity to join the great team at Disney|ABC, especially given their long history of digital innovation and incredibly strong brands. There is an unprecedented opportunity for creating new product experiences and driving revenue growth in digital video. I look forward to contributing my knowledge and relationships to further innovate and evolve the business at Disney|ABC."

As the most senior member of Disney|ABC's digital team, Mr. Keely will work in collaboration with the group's senior leadership and business unit presidents to refine the digital strategy for the overall segment, including the evolution of current product offerings and the development of innovative new products to attract, engage and retain viewers across all platforms. He will also work closely with affiliates, ad sales, marketing and content teams to maximize revenue and operating income.

Additionally, he will oversee DATG's digital backbone and infrastructure to support consistent development, delivery and management of scalable products and services, and will collaborate with other parts of The Walt Disney Company on relevant initiatives to advance Disney|ABC's digital business interests and LEVERAGE economies of scale.

A respected industry leader with over 20 years of experience focused on digital strategy, growth and monetization, Mr. Keely previously served as head of Operations for Activision Blizzard's Major League Gaming, where he was responsible for building and running the company's esports media networks.

Prior to joining MLG, he served as general manager at Fullscreen Media, a global leader in social entertainment. Before that, he spent 14 years at Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM), the league's digital development group, beginning as a producer and rising to the position of senior vice president of Partner Solutions where he was responsible for leading the business' partnership operations and strategy.

Early in his career, Mr. Keely held developer and web producer positions at Concrete Incorporated, GoTO.com and CitySearch Australia.

An alumnus of Georgetown University with bachelor's degrees in economics and English, Mr. Keely also holds a Master of Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill.
