Disney Channel is TV's #1 Network for 4th Year Straight in Key Demo

For 2014, Disney Channel ranked #1 for the 4th-straight year among Kids 6-11 (498,000/2.1 rating) and for the 6th year in a row among Tweens 9-14 (446,000/1.8 rating), powered by original movies "Zapped," "Cloud 9," and "How to Build a Better Boy," the Top 3 telecasts of the year across major youth demographics.

In Primetime, Disney Channel was #1 for the 10th-consecutive year in Kids 2-11 (1.00 million/2.5 rating), 12th-straight year in Kids 6-11 (771,000/3.2 rating) and 14th year in a row in Tweens 9-14 (681,000/2.8 rating).

"Sofia the First" accounted for the Top 2 TV telecasts of the year in Kids 2-5 with the premieres of "Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy" (1.65 million/10.6 rating) and "Sofia the First: Princess to the Rescue" (1.63 million/10.5 rating).

Overall, Disney Channel aired the Top 3 cable TV telecasts in Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11 and the Top 4 cable TV telecasts in Tweens:

24-Hour Disney Junior channel -- 2014

In its second year reporting public ratings, 24-hour Disney Junior channel ranked as the #1 preschool-dedicated TV network in Total Day for the second year in a row in Total Viewers (480,000), across target Kids 2-5 (233,000/1.5 rating), Girls 2-5 (116,000/1.5 rating) and Boys 2-5 (117,000/1.5 rating) and Women 18-49 (91,000), surpassing Nick Jr. by double digits and Sprout by triple digits.

For the year, the channel aired the Top 6 series across preschooler networks in Kids 2-5 and the Top 3 in Total Viewers:

Disney Junior channel topped Nick Jr. by double digits for the 2nd-straight year, across the board: Total Viewers (+54% - 480,000 vs. 311,000), Kids 2-5 (+64% - 233,000 vs. 142,000), Girls 2-5 (+59% - 116,000 vs. 73,000), Boys 2-5 (+70% - 117,000 vs. 69,000), and Women 18-49 (+57% - 91,000 vs. 58,000).

Disney Junior channel towered over Sprout by triple digits for the 2nd-consecutive year across target demos: Total Viewers (+236% - 480,000 vs. 143,000), Kids 2-5 (+258% - 233,000 vs. 65,000), Girls 2-5 (+263% - 116,000 vs. 32,000), Boys 2-5 (+255% - 117,000 vs. 33,000) and Women 18-49 (+203% - 91,000 vs. 30,000).
